Fur indistinguishable from real fur: that is faux fur. Faux fur, also called imitation fur, is made of synthetic yarn and fibres. High-quality materials such as mod acrylic, acrylic and polyester, which have a luxurious look and do not only look like real fur, they also feel like it. The difference between real fur and faux fur is virtually impossible to distinguish to a layman’s eye, so there is no reason not to go for faux fur.
This is how faux fur is made
Faux fur is often made from acrylic and mod acrylic yarn and fibres. Faux fur has various advantages compared to real fur. The following is a summary of the most important advantages:

Uses faux fur
Faux fur is used for various purposes. For example, it is used to manufacture and finish garments, including collars of coats and hoods. In the shoe and boot industry you will often find faux fur, for instance in the trimmings used in the production of fur boots and fur linings in shoes. You name it, it contains fur. Even picture frames and covers of textbooks or school diaries are regularly covered with faux fur. Additionally, soft toys are made of faux fur and it is also used in (home) accessories, such as faux fur pillows and throws (blankets). In addition, faux fur is regularly used for dog baskets and baskets cats (cat scratching posts) and other pet supplies.
